DESCRIPTION

High-quality stoneware soap dish handcrafted from ivory stoneware clay. Thrown on the wheel, trimmed and fired to bisque in the kiln at 1000 degrees, then glazed before firing again to 1270 degrees.

Colours available: 'Limestone', 'Greenstone' and 'Midnight Granite' named for the inspiration the artist takes from the landscape she works in and the materials used.

They can take up to 4 weeks to produce and every item is lovingly crafted, small batch and unique.

MEET THE MAKER

Bel at Bel Holland Ceramics has studied Fine Art in London and Manchester before she became a self-taught potter. She was born and raised in the beautiful Peak District which is a constant pool of inspiration for her practice, from the elegant stately homes to the rolling hills and rocky landscapes.

She works from her home studio, creating beautiful wheel-thrown ceramics made from ivory stoneware clay and her focus is on functional and decorative objects.

She likes to find ways to make her practice as sustainable as possible from recycling clay and glaze to the wrapping used, which comes from a recycled and recyclable source.

Bel creates these Handmade Stoneware Soap Dishes exclusively for us.
